In Psalms, David says, "If it had not been for the Lord on our side..." and he goes on to say the things that could have happened. This song tries to make you remember where you came from and where you would be had it not been for God. This is really just a song of praise for his deliverence from what we could have been. I know I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now if it had not been for the Lord.
